43 Families in Taldykorgan Receive New Home Keys Ahead of City Day Celebrations

In Taldykorgan, located in the Zhetysu Region, 43 families received keys to new homes in anticipation of the City Day celebrations. Including these new residents, a total of 617 local families have acquired homes since the beginning of the year, according to the Zhetysu Region governor's press service.

The Mayor of Taldykorgan, Yernat Bazil, emphasized during the key handover ceremony that providing citizens with affordable housing remains one of the priority tasks set by the country's President. He noted that, due to regional government support, Taldykorgan has consistently boosted its housing development projects, introducing new residential buildings and allowing more families to celebrate moving into their long-awaited homes.

Specifically, the city plans to construct a total of 177.6 thousand square meters of housing within this year. In the near term, two loans-backed residential buildings offering 170 apartments are set to be launched in the "Birlik" neighborhood. By the year's end, five five-story buildings with 200 apartments are scheduled for completion in the "Intymak" residential area. Housing projects are also being realized with private investment. In the "Zhastar-3" residential area, construction of 350 homes is ongoing, and a nine-story building with 641 apartments is rising in the city’s southwest.

On the same day, new residents received keys to apartments in the "Qulager" neighborhood and houses in the "Bereke" cottage community, as well as the "Zhastar-3" housing area.

Elina Kibedova shared her story. She had been on the housing waiting list as an orphan for over 13 years. During that time, she started a family and became a mother. Now Elina and her sons Abdullah, Ahmad, and Khalid have their own apartment. She recounted that she waited for this day for many years and believed she would eventually obtain her own housing. The moment of receiving the keys was thus especially significant for her family.

Gulnar Nusupova was also ecstatic. She attended the ceremony with her children and grandchildren. Having waited nearly 15 years for housing, she held the keys to her own home for the first time today.

"I can't believe my happiness. Thank you to the government for their attention and care. I am overjoyed not just for myself but also for my fellow countrymen who are celebrating moving into new homes today."

It is worth noting that more than 1,500 families are expected to be provided with affordable housing in Taldykorgan by the end of the year.
