Residents and volunteers planted thousands of trees and shrubs in Yesil district for the 'Clean Kazakhstan' initiative, enhancing community spaces.
In the capital's Yesil district, residents of apartment buildings and volunteers planted thousands of trees and shrubs as part of the national 'Clean Kazakhstan' eco-initiative and World Cleanup Day. This large-scale environmental event brought together concerned citizens to enhance local community spaces.
Local residents and activists took to the streets to make their neighborhoods greener and more welcoming. Residential complexes 'Infinity-1' and 'Infinity-2', along with 'Nova City-15' and 'Nova City-16', became focal points where hundreds of new saplings were planted by community members and volunteers.
In the 'Infinity' residential area alone, more than 100 trees and 3,000 shrubs were planted, while in 'Nova City', participants added dozens more trees and over 750 shrubs to the landscape.
Organizers say such initiatives not only transform the urban landscape but also foster a culture of environmental responsibility among the younger generation. Participants noted that tending to green spaces brings neighbors together and makes life in neighborhoods more comfortable.
Plans are underway to continue maintenance work on the newly planted vegetation to ensure their survival in the harsh climate of the capital.
