Thousands of Trees and Shrubs Planted in Astana's Yessil District
Local residents and volunteers in Astana's Yessil district planted thousands of trees and shrubs to enhance neighborhoods as part of the 'Clean Kazakhstan' initiative.

In the Yessil district of the capital, local residents and volunteers planted thousands of trees and shrubs as part of the nationwide eco-initiative 'Clean Kazakhstan' and World Cleanup Day. This extensive environmental event, which brought together engaged citizens to enhance residential areas, took place in the Yessil district, as reported by the official website of the Astana mayor's office.
Local residents and activists took to the streets to make their neighborhoods greener and more inviting.
Among the focal points were the residential complexes 'Infinity-1' and 'Infinity-2,' as well as 'Nova City-15' and 'Nova City-16.' Residents and volunteers planted hundreds of new seedlings in these areas.
In the 'Infinity' residential complex alone, over 100 trees and 3,000 shrubs were added, while participants in 'Nova City' enhanced the landscape with dozens more trees and over 750 shrubs.
According to the organizers, such initiatives not only transform the city's appearance but also foster a culture of environmental stewardship among the younger generation.
Participants in the initiative note that caring for green spaces unites neighbors and makes living in neighborhoods more comfortable.
Plans are underway to continue caring for the planted greenery to ensure their high survival rate in the harsh climatic conditions of the capital.
