Heating Season Commences in Kyzylorda Region

The heating season has kicked off in the Kyzylorda Region.

Today, a government meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, with the agenda focusing on the heating season and the implementation of the national strategy 'Digital Kazakhstan'. First Deputy Prime Minister Nurlybek Nalibaev reported on the situation in the regions concerning the start of the heating season.

The regional governor, Murat Ergeshbayev, participated in the meeting via video conferencing.

During the session following the government meeting, the regional head emphasized that the progress of the heating season is under the strict supervision of the Presidential Administration and the Government. Leaders of sectoral bodies must monitor the operations of essential service providers on a daily basis.

"Leaders of the departments of education, healthcare, culture, and sports, as well as utility companies, must ensure uninterrupted supply of heat, electricity, drinking water, and gas to residential homes and social facilities.
The Department of Emergency Situations must take appropriate measures to prevent gas poisoning and fires, and thoroughly check compliance with fire and gas safety requirements in social facilities and residential homes. All facilities must meet these standards," said Murat Nalkozhauly.

In the area of digitalization, the meeting called for attracting qualified specialists and experts with experience in IT, artificial intelligence, information security, and communications, developing a work plan for the council, and accelerating the implementation of promising digital projects across all sectors of the economy.

It is necessary to study advanced international and regional experiences, implement the best projects, and involve all departments, city, and district administrations in the implementation of the 'Digital Kazakhstan' strategy.

Additionally, discussions covered afforestation efforts on the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, concrete lining of canals, the quality of housing for socially vulnerable groups, and key macroeconomic indicators.

It should be noted that the heating season in the region began on October 5th. Currently, essential service providers are operating normally. A total of 1,074 social facilities and 943 multi-apartment residential buildings are being gradually connected to heating. According to the approved schedule, boiler houses are providing thermal energy consistently, depending on the outdoor temperature.

All social facilities are stocked with the necessary fuel supplies. A total of 80,000 tons of coal are required, of which 68,000 tons are allocated for residents, and 12,000 tons for social facilities.
