9.7 Million Square Meters of Housing Built in Kazakhstan Over Seven Months

Kazakhstan has seen the construction of 9.7 million square meters of housing in just seven months, underscoring the country's commitment to expanding residential building projects and providing affordable housing for its citizens.

Plans for 2026 include the completion of 20.4 million square meters of residential space, equivalent to approximately 188,000 housing units.

From the start of the year through the first seven months, 9.7 million square meters of housing have been completed, translating to 92,300 housing units. Currently, this represents 47.5% of the annual plan.

In parallel with the construction of residential properties, the government is implementing measures to support citizens. This year, there are plans to build and acquire 12,000 apartments as credit housing, with a total budget of 155.5 billion tenge. Additionally, 13,500 apartments are slated for purchase to be leased, amounting to 269 billion tenge.

There are also ongoing favorable housing programs. Since the beginning of the year, 5,100 loans have been issued at interest rates of 2–5%, totaling 72.7 billion tenge.

Furthermore, through the "Nauryz" program, 11,500 loans have been issued amounting to 339.2 billion tenge.

Housing construction and support for citizens in housing matters continue across all regions of the country, reports ЖКХ24, referencing information from the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
