Veterans and Youth Unite to Plant Trees in Astana as Part of 'Clean Kazakhstan' Initiative
Veterans and youth in Astana unite to plant 140 saplings along Abay Avenue as part of the 'Clean Kazakhstan' initiative, promoting environmental responsibility.
In Astana, veterans, youth, entrepreneurs, and city administration staff came together to plant 140 saplings along Abay Avenue as part of the 'Clean Kazakhstan' eco-initiative. According to the official website of the Astana city administration, around 120 students from Astana Medical University and retirees from the Active Longevity Center participated, contributing to the beautification of the capital.
Marzhan Pirimbetova, a member of the Active Longevity Center in the Baikonur district, noted that members of the center actively participate in such environmental initiatives annually.
"Today, we took part in this commendable ecological initiative organized with the support of the Baikonur district administration and came to plant saplings. I believe it is our shared responsibility to contribute to the beautification along Abay Avenue, and to the cleanliness and prosperity of the city. We always support the 'Clean Kazakhstan' environmental campaign. Retirees from our center actively participate in such community and environmental work every year," she said.
Jomart Daumenov, a member of the Baikonur district Veterans' Council, stated that veterans also actively participated in efforts to improve the city's environment.
"Veterans are also actively involved in today's environmental campaign. Among us are elderly individuals, with some nearing 90 years old and the youngest being over 70. Despite this, they specifically came to contribute to the city's prosperity and beautification. This is our home, our motherland. Therefore, our city should always be clean, beautiful, and blooming," added Jomart Daumenov.
This event, part of the 'Clean Kazakhstan' eco-project, where veterans, retirees, and youth worked together, served as a vivid example of community solidarity towards a common goal and a demonstration of responsibility for the environment.
