Major Environmental Month Begins in Astana on September 12

A comprehensive autumn environmental initiative, 'Taza Kazakhstan', is kicking off in Astana from September 12 to October 10. During this program, all city districts will see efforts focused on cleaning, beautification, and greening, reports the official website of the city administration.

Throughout the month, activities will be organized in the capital to ensure sanitary cleanliness, including trash collection, enhancement of parks, squares, and residential yards, as well as areas near business premises, dining places, and other establishments.

On September 19, a city-wide cleanup event will be held as part of the initiative to mark World Cleanup Day 2026.

The city administration urges businesses, homeowners' associations, apartment owners' cooperatives, small and medium enterprises, volunteers, and all concerned city residents to join the environmental initiatives and contribute to the common cause.

The primary goal of the initiative is to draw public attention to the importance of maintaining the city's cleanliness and to promote the development of a sustainable ecological culture. Every resident and organization can contribute to improving streets and yards, making the city cleaner, more comfortable, and environmentally friendly.
