Astana Launches 'Taza Kazakhstan' Environmental Month
Astana launches 'Taza Kazakhstan' month for environmental beautification efforts involving over 30,000 participants.

On September 12, the nationwide environmental month 'Taza Kazakhstan' kicked off in Astana. Extensive sanitation and beautification efforts have begun in all areas of the city, according to the official city administration website.
More than 30,000 people and 2,200 enterprises and organizations are participating in the initiative. Over 700 pieces of special machinery have been deployed for cleaning operations. So far, more than 1,200 courtyard areas have been cleaned, and approximately 300 tons of waste have been removed.
The 'Taza Kazakhstan' environmental month will run from September 12 to October 10. Throughout this period, Astana will see sanitation, beautification, and greening activities in parks, squares, courtyards, public spaces, and areas surrounding enterprises and organizations.
On September 19, a city-wide environmental campaign will take place in the capital, coinciding with World Cleanup Day 2026.
The main aim of the environmental month is to unite the city's residents, enterprises, and organizations to maintain the city's cleanliness, enhance the urban environment, and foster an ecological culture.
