Demolition of Illegal Car Wash Begins in Astana
Demolition of an illegal car wash begins in the Baikonyr district of Astana after a court ruling, addressing resident complaints and violations.

The dismantling of an illegally constructed self-service car wash has commenced in the Baikonyr district of Astana. The structure was built without proper documentation on a plot that was not designated for such facilities, reports the official website of the Astana City Administration.
The illegal car wash was located near residential buildings and caused inconvenience to the residents.
Previously, inspectors from the state architectural and construction control of the capital notified the owner of the illegal facility about the need to address the violations, but the orders were ignored.
"The Department of State Architectural and Construction Control conducted an unscheduled inspection of this facility. Based on the inspection results, administrative measures were taken against the owner, and an order was issued to rectify the identified violations. Due to non-compliance with the order, the Department initiated a court case for the demolition," explained Omirzhan Kereikhan, Chief Specialist of the Department of State Architectural and Construction Control of Astana.
The legal proceedings lasted eight months and concluded with a court decision to dismantle the facility.
To date, the Department has conducted 341 unscheduled inspections, issued 182 orders to rectify violations, and imposed 702 administrative fines totaling more than 265 million tenge.
Residents of the city are urged to comply with the laws in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and construction, and are reminded that failure to comply can result in administrative liability.
