On October 10, Almaty hosted a citywide community cleanup during which more than 1,200 trees were planted. The event was attended by 3,480 residents of Almaty as part of the national ecological program "Taza Qazaqstan."

The cleanup spanned all eight districts of the city and took place at 10 locations, including parks, streets, green zones, and waterfronts. Participants carried out clean-up activities in the Baum Grove, around the "Biokombinat" and Ratushny squares, in the Saily and Koksoky microdistricts, as well as along the Kargaly River and several city streets.

As a result of the initiative, 506 cubic meters of trash and waste were collected and removed. Seventy-nine units of specialized equipment were employed for the cleaning efforts.

Particular attention was given to greening urban areas during the cleanup. Specifically, 1,220 trees were planted, including mature lime and maple trees over six meters high, along with saplings of catalpa, ash, and fir. The planting activities occurred in the Alatau, Auezov, and Nauryzbay districts.
