Demolition of an illegally built bus stop complex begins in Almaty, following a court ruling due to lack of permits.
The demolition of an illegally constructed bus stop complex with shops and cafes has begun in Almaty. The site is located south of Tole Bi Street and east of Momyshuly Street. This action follows a court order, according to the Urban Planning Control Department.
On July 19, 2022, the department filed a lawsuit in Auezovsky District Court No. 2 of Almaty to demolish the bus stop complex due to the lack of required permits. Subsequent court proceedings took a considerable amount of time.
Ultimately, the decision to demolish the facility was upheld by the Almaty City Court, and the enforcement order was sent to the Department of Justice.
The demolition is now underway with the involvement of court bailiffs.
