Eco Zone ECO Network to Launch in Almaty for City Day Celebrations

On September 19, 2026, as part of the City Day celebrations in Almaty, the eco-zone ECO Network will open, offering residents and visitors insights into waste sorting and recycling. The event will be held on Panfilov Street, between Gogol and Tole Bi streets, starting at 09:00.

An eco-truck will be available at the site, where participants will learn about waste sorting and its further utilization. Visitors can also try pedal-powered shredders to crush plastic bottle caps. Additionally, there will be eco-themed corn hole games and the 'Cheese' game for attendees to enjoy.

A key feature of the event will be the demonstration of the plastic recycling process using a melting machine, allowing visitors to see in real-time how recycled materials are transformed into new products.

Attendees can also look forward to gifts and a special giveaway. Among those who register by September 18, 2026, in the ECO Network app and attend the event, three exclusive plant pots made from recycled plastic featuring live plants will be raffled. To participate, attendees must click the "I Will Attend" button in the app by the specified date and confirm their attendance on-site.

Registered app users can also receive a gift by posting a story from the eco-zone tagged with Instagram @ecohub.almaty. The eco-zone will be one of the highlights of the City Day program in Almaty, offering visitors a chance to learn how sorting and recycling contribute to waste reduction and the return of materials to reuse.
