Keys to New Apartments Handed Over to Waiting List Residents in Almaty by Akim Darkhan Satybaldy

On the eve of City Day, Almaty Akim Darkhan Satybaldy handed over keys to new apartments to residents on the waiting list in the Madeniyet neighborhood of Alatau District. This move marks the beginning of the fourth phase of providing housing as part of the current year's housing program.

During the event, the city's Akim emphasized that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has highlighted ensuring social justice and improving citizens' welfare as key goals. In Almaty, this work is being carried out in accordance with the plan.

"Today, we see tangible results from this socially significant effort. The housing provision efforts initiated this year continue as planned," said Darkhan Satybaldy.

The Almaty Akim also reminded that by the end of the year, over 11,000 apartments are planned to be allocated across various housing support schemes, including credit and rental housing.

To date, the first and second phases of housing provision have been fully completed, resulting in 2,717 families becoming new homeowners. As part of the third phase, 640 apartments are currently being distributed. The fourth phase involves distributing 1,000 apartments to citizens on the housing waiting list in the Madeniyet neighborhood.

Support for youth in resolving housing issues also continues. The "Almaty Zhastary" program includes providing preferential housing loans to 1,650 young people. To date, 809 young professionals have received the necessary funding, with the selection of other participants ongoing.

"State support is aimed at providing specific assistance to socially vulnerable citizens. Meanwhile, mechanisms are in place for working Almaty residents with stable incomes to acquire their own housing," added Darkhan Satybaldy.

The city's Akim stressed that providing housing remains one of the important directions of Almaty's social policy, with particular attention to creating conditions for various categories of citizens to improve their housing conditions considering their income levels and available support mechanisms.

In conclusion, Darkhan Satybaldy congratulated the new homeowners and noted that the work to improve the housing conditions of city residents will continue.
