Ethical Standards Clarified for Civil Servants in Aktobe Region

Civil servants in the Aktobe Region have been briefed on adhering to ethical standards, maintaining high behavior standards, and preventing corruption. The meeting, initiated by Deputy Director R. Bisenov of the Department, focused on discussing the importance of adhering to professional ethics within the regional Department of Energy and Public Utilities.

During the meeting, civil servants were reminded of the necessity to uphold ethical standards and high behavior standards both during and outside of work hours.

Specifically, they were sternly reminded to:

• Treat citizens and colleagues with respect;
• Adhere to a business dress code;
• Avoid using government property for personal purposes;
• Maintain public order without violations;
• Refrain from driving under the influence of alcohol;
• Manage social media in compliance with ethical standards;
• Steer clear of gambling activities.

Additionally, changes in the anti-corruption legislation were clarified. Special attention was given to preventing corruption risks, avoiding conflicts of interest, and complying with legislative requirements.

Ethical conduct, responsibility, and professional culture of civil servants are crucial foundations for public trust in the civil service, the statement said.
