Aktobe Region Gears Up for Upcoming Heating Season

Preparations for the upcoming heating season continue in the Aktobe Region.

During a staff meeting chaired by regional governor Askhat Shakharov, the readiness of the region for the impending heating season was discussed.

Special attention at the meeting was given to the readiness of the energy infrastructure. According to Arisulan Aitbayev, head of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services, preparatory work is ongoing at major enterprises.

Specifically, at JSC 'Aktobe TPP,' accumulator tank No.1 has been replaced, and major repairs of two hot water boilers are underway, along with the construction of two chimneys. Additionally, repairs on water cooler No.4 (cooling tower) have been fully completed.

At JSC 'Aqtobe su-energy group,' five projects to reconstruct 1.8 kilometers of heating networks are being implemented as part of the investment program. Another 22 projects, with a total length of 2.1 kilometers, are being executed as part of the repair campaign.

At LLP 'Energosistema,' 590.4 kilometers of electrical networks are being reconstructed under the investment program, and repairs are being made on 15 units of electrical equipment. As part of the repair campaign, 304.7 kilometers of networks and 136 units of electrical equipment have already undergone major repairs.

According to Arisulan Aitbayev, out of 1,845 social facilities in the region, only 341 received readiness passports. Consequently, the regional governor instructed to expedite the processing of necessary documents and ensure the full readiness of all social facilities and the housing stock at the onset of the heating season.

"It is essential to complete preparations for the upcoming heating season promptly and efficiently. The main task is to ensure the technical readiness of heat supply sources and networks, accumulate necessary fuel reserves, and fully prepare social facilities for the winter period," stated Askhat Shakharov.

The head of the region also noted that last week he reviewed the progress of modernization of heating networks in Aktobe.

The regional governor instructed the complete repair of boiler houses and heating systems, the elimination of identified faults, and the inspection of heating systems in schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and other social facilities. Special attention is to be given to preparing the internal heating systems of multi-apartment residential buildings.

Moreover, tracking the formation of necessary fuel reserves should be under constant supervision. To prevent emergency situations during the heating period, readiness of emergency teams, special equipment, and necessary materials must be ensured.

Preparations for the heating season remain under continuous monitoring.
