"Clean Kazakhstan": automatic irrigation started operating in parks and on the embankment of Taldykorgan

As part of the "Clean Kazakhstan" program, automatic irrigation has been installed in several green areas of the Zhetysu region. The new system, providing regular watering of green spaces, is already functioning in the Culture and Recreation Park "Zhashtar" and along the embankment of the Kаратал River in the city of Taldykorgan.

The results of the work were reviewed by the akim of the region, Beibit Isabaev, who specifically visited these sites, as reported by the press service of the akim of the Zhetysu region.

According to the municipal akimat, this year, work is underway in Taldykorgan to build an automatic irrigation system with a total length of 54.8 km. In particular, projects have been implemented on the embankment of the Kаратал River, as well as in the parks "Zhashtar" and "Ardagerdler".

The head of the region assessed the progress of landscaping and maintenance of the green spaces in the park "Zhashtar", as well as the operation of the irrigation system. The total area of the "Zhashtar" park is 4.05 hectares, and the green area is 40.5 thousand square meters. To date, the automatic irrigation system has already been launched here, and work is ongoing to restore the greenery.

Beibit Isabaev expressed concerns to representatives of the contracting organization regarding areas of the park where there is a lack of grass cover, instructing them to level the surface, bring in fertile soil, and intensify landscaping efforts. Thanks to regular watering, the planted perennial grasses should sprout within two months, that is, in August-September.

During the inspection, the akim of the region spoke with the members of the youth labor team "Zhasyl El", who help take care of the green spaces in the park. As part of the overall modernization, work has been carried out on the installation of underground engineering and communication networks, the construction of water reservoirs, the installation of pumps, and covering the area with fertile soil. Additionally, grass seeding is currently underway, which will grow with regular irrigation for up to five to ten years.

Beibit Isabaev inspected the embankment of the Kаратал River, where landscaping has been carried out and the automatic irrigation system has been launched. He pointed out the shortcomings related to the untimely mowing of weeds and insufficient care for the lawn to the management of the contracting organization, instructing them to address the identified issues within one month. Next year, it is planned to improve the children's play and sports areas on the embankment.

In the spacious green areas of the city of Taldykorgan, there are 6 parks and 42 squares covering a total area of 125.8 hectares. Of these, 24 sites are watered with the help of an automatic system. Last year, 21 parks and squares that were previously connected to the automatic system through the city water supply network were switched to irrigation from underground wells.
