A training seminar on ethics and anti-corruption standards for public servants was held in Almaty City, focusing on compliance and personal responsibility.
On June 30, 2026, a training seminar dedicated to the issues of compliance with the Ethical Code of Public Servants and the requirements of anti-corruption legislation was held at the Department of Energy and Water Supply in Almaty City.
The event was attended by the advisor to the akim of Almaty City, the ethics commissioner of the akim's office of Almaty City, Akhetov Mamai Kanievich. During the seminar, the speaker presented real cases from the practice of public service, clearly demonstrating the consequences of violations of ethical norms and the requirements of anti-corruption legislation.
Special attention was given to explaining the main provisions of the Ethical Code, as well as the issues of personal responsibility of each public servant for adhering to the principles of openness, integrity, and incorruptibility. At the end of the meeting, the speaker answered participants' questions regarding relevant practical situations.
The event also addressed the issues of fostering a decent and transparent corporate culture in government agencies. The speaker emphasized that regular improvement of legal and ethical literacy among public servants is an important condition for strengthening public trust in the civil service and enhancing the effectiveness of interaction with the population.
