New Requirements for Electric Charging Stations in Kazakhstan to Take Effect from December 1, 2026

Starting December 1, 2026, new requirements will be implemented for electric charging stations in Kazakhstan. Equipment for measuring the amount of electricity used to charge electric vehicles must be installed at all charging stations. These requirements not only call for inspections but also the upgrading of equipment at existing electric charging stations.

The comprehensive plan includes stricter monitoring of the operations of charging stations, which aims to enhance transparency and increase user trust. These measures are intended to establish new standards and improve service quality for drivers. The initiative also envisions the development of the electric charging infrastructure market.

"Introducing new requirements will ensure better customer service and increased transparency in service provision," the statement reads.

Reconstruction of Section TM-6 Heat Main Completed in Oral

The reconstruction of section TM-6 of the heat main in Oral has been completed. The Territorial Department of the State Energy Supervision and Control Committee of the Ministry of Energy for the West Kazakhstan region continues to monitor electricity and heat supply facilities as part of preparations for the upcoming heating season.

As part of this work, special attention is given to the readiness of heating networks, implementation of repair activities, and ensuring reliable heat supply to consumers.

In the city of Oral, the reconstruction of section TM-6 has been completed—from point 1 to heat chamber TK-B, at the intersection of Gagarin and Ruzheynikov streets. The work is part of the National Project "Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sector" for the years 2025–2029.

During the reconstruction, 1.82 km of above-ground heat supply pipelines were replaced. Pre-insulated pipes with a diameter of 530 mm (2D530) were installed in their place. The project aims to enhance the reliability of heat supply, reduce heat losses, and upgrade the city's thermal infrastructure.

Monitoring of the readiness of heat supply facilities in the West Kazakhstan region for the heating season continues, reports utilities news site Housing24, citing the Ministry of Energy website.
