By Year-End, 3,687 Citizens Waiting for Housing in Shymkent Will Receive Apartments

Efforts to provide housing for residents in Shymkent continue. In the Asar-2 neighborhood, 40 families received keys to their new apartments, with the key handover ceremony attended by the city mayor, Gabit Syzdykbekov.

The apartments are provided to citizens who have confirmed their ability to pay under the preferential loan programs "2-10-20" and "5-10-20" offered by Otbasy Bank. Among the recipients are large families, single-parent families, people with disabilities, and public sector employees.

This year, Shymkent plans to provide 7,386 apartments to those on the waiting list for housing. Of these, 2,818 apartments will be rental housing, while 4,568 will be available through lending.

To date, 3,699 citizens on the waiting list have already received their apartment keys. Among them, 2,192 families have been provided with credit housing, and 1,507 families have received rental housing. By the end of the year, an additional 3,687 apartments are planned to be distributed, with 2,376 being credit-based and 1,311 as rentals.

The housing program is being implemented in accordance with directives from the Head of State, aimed at improving the living conditions of city residents with a targeted and socially oriented approach.
