Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satibaldy hands over keys to 210 new apartments to residents in need, emphasizing housing accessibility and social justice.

Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satibaldy has handed over keys to new apartments to citizens in need of improved housing and who were on the waiting list. As part of the second phase of housing distribution, 210 apartments in the "Altynai" residential complex were allocated to city residents.
During the event, the mayor emphasized that increasing housing accessibility and ensuring social justice are among the key priorities of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's social policy.
"State support should primarily target citizens who genuinely require assistance. At the same time, it's crucial to offer opportunities for working residents with a stable income to acquire housing through the fruits of their labor," said Darkhan Satibaldy.
The Almaty City Administration, in collaboration with JSC "Otbasu Bank," continues the phased distribution of over 4,000 apartments. In the first phase, 885 apartments were allocated, and during the second phase, an additional 1,832 apartments will be distributed. Additionally, following the completion of the "Working Youth" program, more than 1,000 freed-up apartments will be given to citizens on the housing waiting list. Another 594 apartments are offered under credit terms.
