Almaty Upgrades Water Supply System for 15,000 Residents

The reconstruction of the water supply facility located at 33/2 Askarova Street in Almaty has been completed, providing water to approximately 15,000 residents in the Nauryzbai and Bostandyk districts. This was reported by the Almaty Department of Energy and Water Supply.

During the project, a new secondary lift pumping station with five pumps was constructed, three of which are operational and two serve as backups. Two clean water reservoirs with a total capacity of 2,000 cubic meters were rebuilt, and engineering networks were updated. A modern automatic control system was also installed.

Additionally, the building for service rooms and the transformer substation were renovated, a new security checkpoint was built, and the power supply, outdoor lighting, and security systems were upgraded.

The facility is already in operation. As noted by the department, the modernization will help maintain stable water pressure, especially during peak consumption hours, and reduce the risk of water supply disruptions.
